Position Summary: Manage, critique and supervise a staff of full-time/part-time announcers and board operators. Manage quality control for KKMO ‘s on-air presentation and assist the General Manager in keeping the station FCC compliant.

Duties:
Manage KKMO proprietary “Rivendell” automation system. Operate KKMO broadcast board and satellite receiving equipment. Perform, train, supervise and evaluate staff on EAS tests. Produce on-air talk shows.
Supervising duties: Maintain staff discipline in compliance with FCC policies Schedule on-air announcer and board operator shifts. Train and supervise the staff in operation of the Rivendell automation system. Recruit, interview, hire, train and evaluate programming staff. Train, instruct and evaluate execution of KKMO daily program log. Train, instruct and evaluate programming staff in remote broadcast operations. Conduct regular air-checks, air-check critique. Conduct regular on-air staff meetings. Performance reviews for on-air and board operator staff. Schedule recording of satellite delivered programming integrate with Rivendell automation. Supervise PSAs and PSA coordinator. Supervise KKMO Production department and Production Manager.
Programming duties: Responsibility for monitoring KKMO and keeping KKMO on the air at all times. Manage KKMO’s “on-call 24/7” announcer/board operator schedule, integrate with Rivendell automation. Manage KKMO’s program clocks. Research, Supervise and coach station imaging voice talent in production of imaging liners. Write, produce on-air contest rules in compliance with FCC regulations. Must have working knowledge of automated station operation.
Administrative duties: Assist the GM in development and administration of the programming budget, strategic planning for KKMO and Arbitron information reporting. Participate in management meetings. Manage programming staff in compliance with State, Federal policies. Assist in maintenance of Public Inspection. File Other duties required by KKMO management.
Skills: *Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in announcing and automated program operations.
*2-4 years of management experience.

*Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.

* Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
*College degree preferred
